Securitron SCL-24: Solenoid Cabinet Lock 24 Volts DC

The SCL-24 is a fail secure solenoid lock which fits into the most size limited applications (the lock body measures 11/16” x 1-1/8” x 2-5/8” or 27 x 28.5 x 66mm). The lock body mounts on the fixed frame and the keeper mounts on the moving door or drawer. Despite its high degree of miniaturization, the SCL-24 holds and amazing 600 lbs (275 Kg) which provides a strong level of security for cabinet locking applications. In most installations, fastener strength is breached before the lock is defeated.

The SCL-24 is preferred for applications in the most limited space as well as those which demand the highest physical security. It is also more economical to purchase but it does not support outdoor use or use where the cabinet will be released for extended periods of time.
