Optex BX-80N BoundaryGard™ Multi-Stabilized Outdoor PIR Motion Detector
BX-80N starts your security BEFORE burglars get inside. This attractive and low profile outdoor PIR detects up to 40' on each side, creating an 80'x 3' detection pattern. BX-80N suits almost all outdoor applications because it combines two PIRs, creating extra high immunity against false alarms caused by small animals, cars, and other outdoor disturbances. A selectable piezo buzzer can alert intruders and also serves as a convenient walk test indicator.

The BX-80N creates a multi-layered, horizontal barrier that detects intruders and sounds the alarm before they actually break in. Just one BX-80N can protect a long area, because it is installed in the center of the detection area and protects on both sides.

The BX80-N has a layered detection pattern that discriminates between large and small objects within the detection area. Only when both the upper and lower detection layers detect movement, does the BX-80N generate an alarm.
