NITEK - Twisted Pair Systems

Single channel video transmission components & systems for operation over unshielded twisted pair wire (UTP) cables.

These systems are designed for use over point-to-point copper wire of 18 AWG to 26 AWG. Individually shielded twisted pairs should not be used. Connections through splices and punch-down blocks are acceptable. The systems are not designed to operate over leased telephone lines routed through Telephone Company Central Offices (C.O.'s). For operation over leased lines see "Leased Line Video Systems". Distance specifications are based upon 24 AWG wire and will vary with other gages of wire. To determine which system best fits a particular application, first determine the correct cable length.

Nitek VB37M Video Transceiver Balun: CAT5, 1000 feet

Use the Nitek VB37M for Applications to 1,000 feet; up to 3,000 feet with Active Receivers; also provides P/T/Z Control over the same pair with any "up-the-coax" control. Two Required.

Specify BNC connector type; VB37M or VB39M for male, VB37F or VB39F for female. Color or monochrome applications up to 1,000 feet. Passive design provides immunity from noise and interference and does not require power supplies. Compatible with all "up-the-coax" systems to provide video and control over a single twisted pair. VB39M and VB39F include transient suppression.
