With Panasonic's new GX Series MPEG2 encoder/decoders, you can easily transmit video signals (encoded as MPEG2) over greater distances than is possible with conventional networking, with no loss of image quality. The GX series supports a wide range of IP protocols, allowing you to transmit over a variety of existing networks such as Ethernet-based LANs and WANs, Private IP networks, and the Internet.

MPEG2 encoding for quality images
Unlike conventional coax transmissions that degrade with distance, the digital MPEG2 encoding and IP transmission can deliver images with virtually no loss of quality, even over hundreds or thousands of miles. The system operates with a delay of only 150ms, which is key to the higher image quality.
