Honeywell's Wireless Solutions encompass a series of products designed to provide a high quality network infrastructure to support IP communications. These devices conveniently support hardwired and wireless networks simultaneously.

The wireless capability now provides additional flexibility and freedom to access and share network resources from virtually anywhere on the premises – and anytime and anywhere within range of the network. The explosive growth in WiFi-enabled consumer products is expected to help fuel the dramatic wireless growth curve beyond roaming notebooks and PDA usage.

Honeywell's components include a four port 10/100 router/switch which may also be used to provide wireless communications using the 802.11 b and g protocols. This device is available in both QuickNetwork and SuperPro versions to accommodate a wide variety of mounting options.

In addition, a selection of specialized antenna extension cables and an optional high-gain antenna helps installers offer a low-cost, tunable solution to delivering a hot spot in a targeted location. These special cables provide the ability to place the antenna in the location most desirable during or even after the installation. Since these solutions are based on standardized wireless technologies, additional devices may be added to offer enhanced communications capabilities at any time, including wireless access points, range extenders, repeaters or any number of other devices desired or required to deliver optimal performance and flexibility.
