The function of this device is to reduce the high voltage from an electrical source (up to 277 volts AC) to approximately one twentieth its original voltage while also allowing Powerline Control pulses to pass through to be viewed on a standard oscilloscope display.

This wall mounted transmitter sends powerline command signals to X10 and A10 Receiver Modules, which switch their designated loads. Signals are transmitted to Receiver Modules over existing AC power lines, so dedicated wiring for the system components is not necessary. Four keypad models can also send ALL LIGHTS ON and ALL UNITS OFF commands.

The TB134, TB234 and TB334 are A10 enhanced PCC transmitters that accept up to six dry contact inputs and transmit six unique powerline carrier addresses. Each of the six contact wire inputs corresponds to a standard code address (256 available) or extended code addresses (4,096 available). The addresses are configured by the user. Whether an OFF or an ON code is transmitted on contact closure will depend on which of two additional control wires is connected to the input contact. The TB transmitter can be push-button configured for inputs to be momentary or maintained. Output transmission is always polite.

The TD130 and TD230 Keypad controls 16 addresses, but changing letter code switch allows control of any of the 256 address points. The TD130 and TD230 are packaged in a rugged metal case with a carrying handle. It has a keyed switch to lock out the keyboard for security purposes, plus an LED on the keypad to verify signal transmission. Often used by building maintenance engineers as a portable troubleshooting tool, the TD130 or TD230 can also reside on a desktop at a guard station, or in a maintenance office to provide backup or override of a programmed powerline control system.

The TD140 is a compact, manually operated, 64 channel X10 / A10 transmitter in a keyboard design, allowing ON/OFF control of room heating and air conditioning units and other electrical loads, and is expandable to control up to 256 separate electrical loads. Coded command signals from the TD140 are transmitted via existing AC power wiring to receiver switching modules.
